A STORY OF INNOVATION

Sunstream was founded in 1996 to create the next generation of portable boat lifts using proven technology to make boating as easy as using your car. Sunstream was the pioneer in hydraulic, solar and remote controlled boat lifts and automatic boat cover systems, and now is continuing make major advancements to not only to make boating easier and safer, but by reducing your boat maintenance and providing better protection of your investment.

Sunstream is proud to be the leader in hydraulic freestanding lifts, free-floating lifts, automatic boat cover systems, PWC drive-on lifts and government/commercial portable lifts. Sunstream has been recognized by Boating Industry ‘Products of 2014’, as well as the marine industry’s prestigious NMMA Innovation award, and Inc500. Sunstream’s founder, Ken Hey, used his decade of aircraft engineering at Boeing and McDonnell Douglas and Masters of Mechanical Engineering at Cornell University to bring advanced designs to the marine industry. Ken was honored as a two time award winner for Boeing’s top patents of the year, as well as Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year. He is also a life-long boater, 100 ton USGC captain, and a dad, so he has a passion to utilize his skills to make boating more fun and practical for today’s fast-paced world.
