  • INNOVATION

LiftBar™ is the first boat lift to incorporate a ball screw-based lifting mechanism fully within an aluminum tube to deliver a hidden structure, no sway, higher speeds, safer boarding with less gap, increased reliability and enhanced submergibility. Because of its contained design, the lift is designed to be IP 68 submersible which enables it to be installed out of sight at dock level and provides peace-of-mind in extreme environments. The powerful 6hp DC power provides speeds multiple times faster than traditional 220v motor lifts with gearboxes; and the inline motor with planetary gears delivers a much quieter lifting and lowering experience. Since the motors are synchronized, the boat no longer needs to be in the center of the cradle, enabling minimal gap for safer boarding. The lift locks the cradle in place in the up position, eliminating sway and noise, and reducing cable fatigue.  The universal design attaches to pilings, fixed docks, and integrates into floating docks.

  • RELIABILITY

LiftBar's simplistic design of a motor turning a lead screw without the use of electrical limit switches or spindles that can bird nest cables, has resulted in superior reliability. Having key components under an air bell covers protects from flooding and backup power from the battery enables operation even if the dock power is off.  Since the cable is pulled by a jack screw and not wound on a spindle, the cables will not tangle if unloaded, ensuring smooth operation and eliminates the need for cable-keepers.

  • INTEGRATED DESIGN

The entire lifting mechanism of the LiftBar is hidden within a 6"w x 7"h bar with contained hoses and no external powerpack or battery box that needs to sit on the dock. The top lid has traction stripes, matching the details of the lifting cradle.   (Fixed dock / piling version with Helix-P shown here).

  • TECHNOLOGY

Twin 3hp DC motors turn a lead screw similar to a garage door opener mechanism.  The battery is trickle charged by low amp 110V or solar power and is advantageous over high amp 220V since it does not require expensive high amp 220V, does not have AC power underwater, does not require an electrician for installation, and has built in backup power in case of a power outage.

  • ADAPTABLE INSTALLATION

LiftBar has been designed for easy and fast installation and can be mounted on piles at dock level or built into your dock without pilings.  The bar can also be mounted above the dock to create a practical dock bench. Each bar is light enough to handle by hand without a crane or workboat.   (Floating dock version shown here).

LiftBar Frequently Asked Questions

LiftBar is a high-speed , ball screwcable lift designed to be low profile and virtually invisible since it does not require a powerpack on the dock.  It delivers increased reliability, submergibility, no sway and can be mounted closer to the dock than traditional cable lifts for easier boarding.  It drastically reduces battery size to fit in the bar by being the only boat lift with regenerative braking.

LiftBar can lift and launch your boat within 30 seconds, as fast as 10ft/min

Yes, LiftBar is designed to be used in salt water environments and the components are out of the water when raised.

LiftBar offers lifting ranges of 9’-12’ depending on the model.

No, LiftBar utilizes a screw-based lift powering system.

Both LiftBar and Helix2-P are low profile cable lifts that are designed to work with pilings and piling docks but LiftBar can also be integrated into floating docks.  The LiftBar cables and batteries are integrated into the construction for a clean look that does not require an external power pack’ whereas the hydraulic Helix2-P is powered via the SPS (Sunstream Power System) which can be shared with multiple Sunstream products, including SwiftShield, to eliminate the need for additional power packs.  Helix2-P has a lifting range of 15’  whereas the LiftBar lifting range is 9’-12’ depending on the model.
